Object type: Part of round column [1]
Measurements: H. 21 cm (8.3 in); W. 19 > 16 cm (7.4 > 6.3 in); D. 17 > 15 cm (6.7 > 5.9 in)
Stone type: Fine- to medium-grained, pale brown (5YR 6/3), sandstone with iron oxide flecks. Clasts are sub-angular. Namurian sandstone consistent with the Ipstones Edge Sandstones and associated sandstones, Moridge Formation, Millstone Grit Group, Carboniferous (R.T.)

Although badly damaged, a few diagonal tooling marks can be discerned. There may have been an attempt at carving some form of decoration, as some of the damaged areas appear to have tool marks, although this is uncertain. Traces of mortar adhere in at least two places.
